Our Story
Every artist deserves a place to share their work — without sharing commissions
Our Mission our story
Too many talented artists go unseen because galleries charge fees or platforms that take commissions. The 2 pictures on the right is why this site exists. I can't remember her name or want to. I've heard she has since passed away from a drug overdose. Rest in Peace sweet soul. After hearing her story and taking her one night to the ocean (Zuma Beach). Jesus and I baptized her in the ocean. For a gift she gave me these 2 water color paintings.
We built Foster Artists to change that. Our platform is free, open, and designed to put every artist on equal footing — whether you're a student sharing your first painting or a professional with decades of work.
This concept actually started back in 2011. It has taken 15 years to grow into what you see here today. ART SHOW #2 is the difference between one and done, and moving on to two. Not giving up or letting go will be on display that night, Thanks' Chris for your reminders. This concept started out as a platform for Foster Care Alumni Artists. We all know that art for a human soul is healing and fun (something AI can't relate to). This statement is true. AI can process, analyze, and generate art — but it cannot feel it. The healing, the joy, the emotional release that comes from creating or experiencing art is a deeply human experience. AI has no soul, no pain, no longing — nothing to heal. If you are an artist of any kind and start a project, hours can go by in a blink. If you see the words Foster Artist next to a name, that means that artist has spent time in the foster care system.
